Governance Structures
General Council (GC)
The higher authority of the organisation SIRI is the General Council (GC) which consists of a total of 21 community people including 14 female and 7 male members from various levels of status in the society. Generally, GC attends the annual general meeting (AGM) at least once a year and, in this meeting, approves various decisions, the budget, and the audit report of the previous year. They also prepare an action plan for next year. The members of the General Council are involved in taking care of different social development activities initiated by the organisation
Executive Council (EC)
The Executive Council of SIRI is a female-headed board currently consisting of 5 females and 2 males out of a total of 7 members elected by the GC. As per SIRI’s constitution, the board is generally elected every three years. The EC usually attend Executive Meetings four times a year except in emergencies. The Council provides necessary guidance to the Programme Management Team (PMT) for overall programme and financial management, policy formulation, fund-raising initiatives, outcome monitoring, project implementation activities, financial management and maintaining necessary communication with donor organisations as required. The President serves as the head of the organisation and the General Secretary of the Executive Council serves as the Executive Director (ED) among the organisational staff. The Executive Council is reportable to the General Council.
Programme Management Team (PMT)
The PMT consists of five members (presently, 03 females and 02 males) including the Executive Director. The PMT is responsible for making crucial decisions and providing direction to programmes, projects and finance teams. The PMT looks after community issues, project support, project outcomes and guidelines for implementing a project. The Executive Director is reportable to the Executive Council, which reports on organisational development at every EC meeting held every three months.
